Leadership
Dean richard buttimer
I am honored to serve as dean of the Belk College of Business, North Carolina’s urban research business school. The Belk College has built an enviable reputation throughout the Charlotte region and across North Carolina, and our reputation is on the rise nationally and internationally.
Our goals are rooted in the needs of the greater Charlotte community and in the strengths and aspirations of our faculty and students. We are committed to stand at the forefront of modern business education and to serve as a vital intellectual resource, addressing pressing challenges through innovative solutions and partnerships.
The synergy we have created attracts and inspires outstanding students and faculty from across the country and the world. Our alumni are leaders in their fields, and we are grateful that so many of our alumni and their employers are actively working to help our students succeed.
The collaborative energy that drives the Belk College was one of the top reasons I wanted to rejoin the college as dean, after being here previously in faculty and administrative roles. I am confident that we will continue to channel our energy and our creativity to drive business in Charlotte and beyond.
