UNC Charlotte M.S. in Economics ranked #39 in North America by Eduniversal

UNC Charlotte ranked among the top 40 programs in North America in Eduniversal’s 2017 Best Masters Ranking for graduate programs in economics.

The Belk College of Business M.S. in Economics placed No. 39 in this year’s ranking, which includes programs from the most prestigious schools in the world, such as Harvard Business School, Berkeley and Yale University.

Eduniversal analyzed more than 17,000 programs from 1000 universities and schools in 154 countries to determine the best programs across 32 fields of study. Programs were evaluated according to three main criteria: the reputation of the programs and of the institution, graduate salaries, and overall student satisfaction.

“This ranking reflects the relevance of our curriculum, the quality of our faculty, and most importantly, the success of our M.S. in Economics graduates. We’re proud of our students, faculty and alumni of this recognized program,” said Dr. Jennifer Troyer, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs and Professor of Economics in the Belk College of Business.

UNC Charlotte M.S. in Economics graduates are in demand. The program has a strong track record of placing graduates in Fortune 500 firms, PhD programs, and government jobs with an average salary increase of $31,000. With four concentrations, the program combines economic analysis with advanced quantitative methods to prepare students for analytical and management positions in a variety of industries.

Students have the opportunity to two degrees on two continents with a dual master’s program offered jointly by UNC Charlotte and the Copenhagen Business School. Graduates receive both an M.S. in Economics with a Quantitative Financial Economics concentration from UNC Charlotte and a MSc in Economics and Business Administration, specializing in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School.
