Junwei Xia is an assistant professor of accounting in the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. Before joining UNC Charlotte, she was an assistant professor of accounting in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Her research examines corporate tax planning, tax‑related disclosures and the effects of tax policy on firm behavior. Xia received a Ph.D. in accounting from Indiana University and a Master of Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech. Prior to pursuing her doctoral studies, she worked as a tax senior associate at KPMG in North Carolina.
