Andrew Gonedes
Andrew Gonedes is a lecturer in real estate and director of the Master of Science in Real Estate program at UNC Charlotte’s Childress Klein Center for Real Estate, part of the Belk College of Business. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, he spent his career in fixed income markets and commercial real estate. He served as head trader for mortgage‑backed securities at Wells Fargo Securities, with earlier roles at Bank of America and Credit Suisse. He is also a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and South Carolina and founder of AJ Management Corporation, through which he has built and actively manages a Charlotte‑based commercial real estate portfolio spanning retail, medical office and net‑lease assets across the Carolinas.
Gonedes’s teaching and practice focus on the intersection of capital markets and commercial real estate — investment underwriting, portfolio construction and the financing structures that connect institutional debt and equity markets to property‑level decision‑making.
