Ph.D. student receives travel award from American Finance Association

Jun ChenJun Chen, a student in the Ph.D. in Business Administration program, has recieved a 2012 Student Travel Grant Award from the American Finance Association (AFA). The award provides funding for Chen to attend the annual meeting of the AFA, considered the top conference in finance, next January in Chicago. The AFA is the premier academic organization devoted to the study and promotion of knowledge about financial economics.

“This award is very competitive, with Ph.D. students all over the world competing for it,” said Dr. Dolly King, chair of the Department of Finance in the Belk College of Business. “This award is truly a recognition for Jun and our Ph.D. program.”
