MBA students visit Germany in summer course
Twenty Belk College graduate students visited Munich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Mannheim, and Heidelberg June 4 – 11 as part of the summer M.B.A. course “Doing Business in Germany.” Led by Dr. Jim Nebus in the Department of Management, students visited BMW, BASF, Allianz, Ernst & Young, Deloitte & Touche and the European headquarters of John Deere. Students also received lectures on German financial institutions at the Bundesbank (the German central bank) and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Social and cultural events included a Rhine River cruise, a visit to Daimler’s Mercedes museum, wine tasting in the Palatinate region and a tour of the historic Dachau concentration camp.
