Belk College graduates recognized among Charlotte’s “40 Under 40”
Four graduates of the Belk College and one member of the College’s Business Advisory Council were recently recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal in theirannual “40 Under 40” feature. Each year, the Business Journal identifies 40 people under the age of 40 who are “making major strides in their careers and impacting their communities.”
The four Belk College alumni are:
- Michele Loncar Ashworth ’90:senior vice president and managing director, asset management, Wachovia Mortgage Corp. Ms. Ashworth earned a B.S. in accounting with a finance minor.
- Angela Broome, M.B.A. ’87: senior vice president and manager of retail area sales support, First Citizens Bank. Ms. Broome earned her M.B.A. with a concentration in management.
- James N. Greene III,’93: partner, Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein. Mr. Greene earned a B.S. in accounting, magna cum laude.
- Matt Nurkin M.B.A. ’06: vice president for acquisitions, Cogdell Spencer Inc. Mr. Nurkin earned his M.B.A. with a concentration in real estate finance and development.
Also recognized was Timothy Flanagan Jr., general agent with Hinrichs Flanagan Financial/Mass Mutual, a member of the Belk College’s Business Advisory Council.
