Belk College alumni, advisors recognized at Best Places to Work luncheon

Five companies led by alumni and advisors of the Belk College were recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as the “Best Places to Work” for 2008.

They include:

Ameritrust – President and CEO John Owens is a Belk College alumnus.

Greer & Walker – Partner Mike McNamara serves on the advisory board for the Department of Accounting as well as the board of the UNC Charlotte Foundation.

Larson Allen – Partner Greg Johns is a Belk College alumnus.

Crosland – Chairman and CEO Todd Mansfield is a member of the Real Estate Advisory Board and past chair of the Belk College Business Advisory Council.

Grant Thornton – Partners Dave Wedding, a Belk College alumnus,and Michael Baker serve on the Business Advisory Council. Baker currently serves as chair of the BAC.
