UNC Charlotte’s Master of Science in Mathematical Finance program again has been nationally recognized with a higher ranking by the leading review organization. The M.S. in Math Finance program rose in the national rankings from #16 in 2018 to #14 in 2019, as determined by the TFE Times’ 2019 Master of Financial Engineering program rankings.

The TFE Times’ rankings are the most comprehensive rankings for graduate financial engineering, financial mathematics, quantitative finance, computational finance and mathematical finance programs in the United States. The rankings are calculated based on a series of factors, including average GRE scores, starting salaries, undergraduate GPA, acceptance rates, and the number of employed graduates.

“The Belk College of Business is extremely proud that the M.S. in Mathematical Finance has been recognized as one of the top 15 programs in the nation,” said Dr. Dolly King, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs. “The strong reputation of our faculty, combined with an integrated curriculum, continues to propel the growth of our quantitative graduate programs. Our current program profile is reflective of our top-quality students, and the rigorous curriculum prepares them for high-powered careers in banking, financial modeling, risk management or portfolio management.”

Located in the second largest financial center in the U.S., UNC Charlotte’s M.S. in Mathematical Finance is a joint program of the Departments of Finance and Economics in the Belk College of Business and the Department of Mathematics in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
