Gift from alumna Susan Dodson DeVore to create Women’s Leadership Development Program
A $1 million gift from Belk College of Business alumna and accomplished business leader Susan Dodson DeVore ’81 will establish a women’s leadership program to be housed in the Belk College of Business’ Center for Leadership Science. DeVore, Charlotte Board of Trustees emerita, received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1981.
The Susan Dodson DeVore Women’s Leadership Development Program is scheduled to launch in fall 2024. The program will align and expand existing campus initiatives, including the Belk College’s Women in Business Initiative, and the Women’s Leadership Development Program of the Division of Student Affairs.
The program also will support additional programming, specialized training and resources, including training through the Belk College’s Department of Management, led by Professors Janaki Gooty and George C. Banks, international experts in leadership and inclusive excellence and co-leads for the Center for Leadership Science.
