Management

The Department of Management directs its teaching, research and service activities toward developing and enhancing the ability of students and practitioners to identify, assemble, and coordinate the skills and resources needed to create economic wealth within ethical and societal boundaries. Although primarily aimed at the private sector, departmental activities overlap into non-profit and governmental sectors.

In supporting the missions of UNC Charlotte and the Belk College of Business, the department contributes expertise in leadership development, effective business communication, business policy, human resources administration, entrepreneurship, strategic management and international business. The primary commitment of the faculty is to provide the high quality undergraduate and graduate programs expected from a nationally-accredited department.

The department administers the undergraduate major in managerial leadership as well as the M.B.A. concentration in management.
