Management + International Business

The management programs at UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business give you access to faculty that are experts in leadership development, effective business communication, business policy, human resources administration, entrepreneurship, strategic management and international business.

You’ll learn how individuals, teams and systems ethically work together in an organization. This will prepare you to adapt quickly to changes in market opportunities, foreign competition, demand for raw materials, labor costs and government regulations.

MANAGEMENT, HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT CONCENTRATION

Managers help achieve corporate goals by planning and organizing resources like employees, fiscal assets and technology in order to maximize stakeholder value. Employees need leaders to identify objectives, make decisions and measure results. The Human Resource Management Concentration focuses on concepts, methods and issues used in effectively managing human resources.

MANAGEMENT, ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONCENTRATION

The Organizational Management Concentration focuses on developing an understanding of the use and influence of communication, ethics and leadership on effective managerial decision-making.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

International Business focuses on the management of a business on a global scale. You’ll learn how to apply a global perspective to the fundamental disciplines of business - finance, management, marketing, etc. - for organizations whose business transactions cross national borders. You’ll learn how organizations are impacted by market opportunities, competition, demand for raw materials, labor costs and government regulations.

GRADUATE Management Programs

The Department coordinates curriculum for the MBA concentration in management. In addition, Management faculty actively participate in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Organizational Science.

Management Consulting Club (MCC)

The Management Consulting Club at UNC Charlotte provides students with the resources, knowledge, opportunities and experience to better prepare members for a successful career in management consulting. During club meetings, MCC members practice case interviews, learn about and explore the proper ways to work with clients, host guest speakers, and much more.
