Ashley Samaroo

Ashley Samaroo is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and adjunct professor of accounting in the Turner School of Accountancy at UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business. She also works in corporate accounting at Nuveen, where she serves as a subject-matter expert in areas including consolidation accounting, acquisition accounting, asset management analysis, and cash forecasting.

Samaroo is deeply involved in projects that integrate new accounting information systems and products to automate processes and enhance financial analysis. She manages global teams and frequently reports directly to the CFO, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

As a proud UNC Charlotte alumna, Samaroo understands the rigor and dedication required to pursue an accounting degree and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with students. Her teaching philosophy embraces a dynamic approach, ensuring that methods evolve alongside the financial world and that student success extends beyond the classroom.
