Augustin Mbemba
Dr. Augustin Mbemba has been an economics professor for about 20 years. He currently teaches Managerial Economics, as well as Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics, in the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte.
He received his Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Economics from Paris Nanterre University and the University of Paris Dauphine in France, both prestigious public institutions renowned for research, organization and decision sciences.
He has published more than 20 peer‑reviewed papers on development economics and has served as a keynote speaker at Columbia University and the University of Maryland in collaboration with the Federal Reserve Bank’s Baltimore Branch.
Mbemba’s research focuses on international finance and macroeconomics, exchange rates, trade invoicing and crisis management. His current work examines the interconnected global economy and worldwide systems of production, trade, development programs, finance and investment that take place between countries.
