Ben Lee joined the Belk College of Business in 2026 as an assistant professor of marketing. His research focuses on marketing strategy, with particular interests in the role of marketing in corporate governance and the marketing–finance interface.

His work has been published in leading academic and managerial journals, including the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Harvard Business Review and the European Journal of Marketing.

Lee’s research has received recognition including finalist designation for the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science Sheth Foundation Best Paper Award. He was also selected as an AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium Fellow and a Marketing Strategy Consortium Fellow.

He earned a Ph.D. in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
