Chris Halligan

Chris Halligan is an operator, advisor, entrepreneur and teacher who has spent his career helping companies figure out how to grow, then doing the hard work required to make that growth happen.

At UNC Charlotte, Halligan teaches MBAD 6304 with Rob Cummings. The class is designed as a practical tour towards entrepreneurial success. The principal curriculum is content created by Cummings, Halligan and 30 other successful local entrepreneurs.

His professional experience spans startups, growth-stage businesses and large corporations, with a particular focus on revenue, sales, go-to-market strategy and operating execution.

Early in his career, Halligan held leadership roles at Dell, where his responsibilities included a $2 billion annual quota and approximately 250 salespeople. He later served as Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Payzer, helping build the company to approximately $30 million in annual revenue before its acquisition by WEX in 2023 for approximately $250 million.

Today, Halligan works through Good Human Partners, a boutique consultancy based in Charlotte and Las Vegas. He currently advises several emerging technology and fintech companies, believing that exposure to multiple businesses sharpens the pattern recognition he brings to each.

Halligan is a graduate of the University of Arizona who lives in Charlotte with his wife, Sarah. They have three adult children.
