Chris Trunck began teaching undergraduate accounting courses in spring 2026. He has spent 37 years working in public accounting and corporate tax departments. Trunck is the vice president of tax at Nucor Corporation. Prior to joining Nucor, he led tax departments at Owens Corning and Ferro Corporation. Early in his career, he advised businesses on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions and international transactions at various large multinational corporations. Trunck is a Certified Public Accountant.
He is passionate about making tax approachable and strives to connect classroom learning to real‑world practice by showing how tax touches nearly every business or personal financial decision.
