“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character — that is the goal of true education.”
— Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This conviction sits at the heart of Dr. Christopher H. Richardson’s approach to teaching and leadership.

Dr. Richardson is a transformational business leader, Six Sigma Black Belt and scholar‑practitioner whose career bridges industry and academia. With a foundation in chemical engineering and advanced graduate training in business administration, he has built a distinguished track record across the chemical, energy storage and pharmaceutical industries, translating deep technical expertise into strategic outcomes.

He currently serves as an adjunct professor in UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business, where he brings real‑world rigor into the classroom. His academic research examines how organizations cultivate dynamic capabilities to compete and thrive in rapidly changing markets.

Dr. Richardson’s work reflects the ideal Dr. King described: minds that are sharp and purposeful, technical and humane, analytical and transformational.
