John Gandar joined the Belk College faculty in 1982. Dr. Gandar has published articles in leading economics and finance journals including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Journal of Political Economy. Dr. Gandar served as the chairperson of the Economics Department (2001-2004), as the associate dean (2004-2009), and as the interim chairperson of Marketing, Management, and Economics (2009-2011). Dr. Gandar held a joint appointment in both the Economics and Finance Departments and taught international finance at the undergraduate level and research methods at the graduate level.
