
Nabil Elias joined the Belk College in 2001 from the Asper School of Business, Manitoba, Canada. He also taught at INSEAD, and the American Graduate School of International Management. Dr. Elias is a Fulbright scholar and a CMA (Can.). In recognition of his contributions to the accounting profession, he was made Fellow Certified Management Accountant (FCMA). Dr. Elias served as president of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association. He has published in several journals including the Accounting Review and the Journal of Accounting Research, and is coauthor of management accounting textbooks and a monograph on environmental management and reporting (CGA Foundation). He led several M.B.A. delegations on study tours to Asia and Mexico; consulted with several organizations, and presented numerous refereed and invited papers at concurrent and plenary sessions at academic and professional conferences.
