
Prior to joining the Belk College faculty in 1991, Richard Schroeder taught at the University of Texas at El Paso, Texas A&M University, and the University of Kentucky. He is the author of several textbooks, including Survey of Accounting, Accounting Principles, Accounting Theory: Text and Readings, Intermediate Accounting and An Introduction to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Dr. Schroeder’s research activities, which have been funded by a variety of businesses and foundations, have resulted in more than 40 articles published in numerous professional journals. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and The Institute of Management Accountants.
