The Belk College of Business is pleased to welcome alumnus Kimberly Moore-Wright ‘95, Chief Teammate Officer and Head of Enterprise Diversity at Truist Financial Corp., for the Fall 2021 C-Suite Speaker Series, one of the Belk College's signature events.

About the Speaker

Kimberly Moore-Wright ‘95 is a member of the Executive Leadership Team for Charlotte-based Truist Financial Corp., the seventh largest commercial bank in the United States by assets.

She is chief teammate officer and head of enterprise diversity for Truist Financial Corp. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of human resource management, including teammate relations and talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, teammate experience, payroll, total rewards, enterprise diversity, and human capital systems. She also oversees Truist Leadership Institute. 

In 2019, Moore-Wright was named chief human resources officer of Truist, which was created through the merger of equals between BB&T Corporation and SunTrust Banks Inc. Prior to that, she served as director of marketing and digital sales with Truist predecessor BB&T. She began her career with BB&T in the company's Leadership Development Program and held various roles after graduating, including retail services officer, market leader, credit training instructor, retail credit training manager, community bank and lending group training manager, and director of retail and commercial marketing strategy.

Moore-Wright is a member of the board of directors of the Truist Foundation and former board member of Trellis Supportive Care. She is on the Belk College of Business Board of Advisors. She is also a member of The Links Inc. and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

She earned her undergraduate degree in accounting from the Belk College and MBA from North Carolina State University. She is also a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

About the Series

The C-Suite Speaker Series (formerly CEO Speaker Series) features alumni and friends of the college who are in leadership positions (at the level of CEO, chairman, executive leadership, etc.). The series brings business leaders to the UNC Charlotte campus to present and interact with undergraduate and graduate students.
