What is your favorite thing about living in the Charlotte area?

Charlotte has so much to love! What initially attracted me to the Charlotte area was the fact that there is a large financial district, and as a Finance major that is important for me. Outside of that though I love the food in Charlotte! There are so many great restaurants here and I feel like there is always a new restaurant to try!

What are your career goals for the future?

My career goal is to become a successful business-woman! A lot of fields interest me in the finance world and I am currently trying to get a taste for what field I would be happy and successful in! Thankfully there are so many amazing opportunities in Charlotte and I am lucky enough to be able to live here!

Why did you choose to attend UNC Charlotte?

I chose UNC Charlotte for a number of reasons. One of the main reasons is the fact that all of the people here are so welcoming and supportive. Everyone who works here wants you to succeed and be the best version of yourself, which I really loved. My parents are also both alumni of UNC Charlotte and hearing their experiences here and how much they loved the school also really influenced my decision.

Why did you choose the Business Honors Program?

I chose the Business Honors Program because of the opportunities it would provide me. When I first learned about the program I loved the fact that there were so many opportunities to meet and network with real professionals! We have our Annual Mock Interview Event, Professional Development Meetings, and Professional Speaker Meetings, which all provide you with an opportunity to grow and learn.

What has been your favorite honors course so far and why?

I have loved every honors course I have taken, but my favorite has to be Practicum 1: Corporate Citizenship! In that class we learned about Corporate Social Responsibility, which is something that you get to learn about and discuss outside of the Business Honors Program. The class is discussion based and we got to talk about the ethics of business and corporations in depth. The class was so interesting and I learned so much.
