The College could not have grown so quickly and achieved so much, in a relatively short period of time, without the generosity of those individuals and companies who demonstrate their belief in the College and its mission through giving.
Although UNC Charlotte is a state-supported institution, state funding does not cover the Belk College’s total budget. The difference is generated by student fees, investment income and private support. This funding is especially critical to the Belk College, as we strive to provide an outstanding quality business education and to compete with other top business schools.

DEAN’S EXCELLENCE FUND
By giving to this fund you support the areas of greatest need for the college including student success through scholarships and life-changing engagement experiences. It also helps the college attract and retain top educators and provides technology to support teaching and research.
CONNECT
CONNECT is a mini-conference for Belk College Black and Latinx students, alumni and Charlotte professionals. The event includes lunch, breakout professional development sessions, networking and scholarship presentations. Each year several students that attend this event are awarded scholarships from the Dean’s Excellence Fund based on an essay and other eligibility requirements.
Financial Modeling Workshop
The Dean’s Excellence Fund provides accelerated financial modeling training to students, guiding them in building their own interactive financial models from scratch. Advanced financial modeling is a critical in-demand skill, and this immersive training better prepares our students for the job search and beyond.
Women in Business Signature Event
The Women in Business (WIB) initiative provides career-development activities that empower students to enter the business marketplace with the skills and competencies needed to achieve their goals. Your dominations to the Dean’s Excellence Fund give students access to these resources and opportunities that help them excel in their academic and professional journeys.

BELK COLLEGE ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
Established by the Belk College Alumni Council in 2014, the fund helps to fuel the next generation of business leaders, one scholarship at a time. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to their professional development.
