Belk College to offer summer study in Paris

The Belk College and UNC Charlotte's Office of Education Abroad will offer a summer course in Paris, France, from May 14 to June 4, 2006.

Through visits to businesses, guest speakers, cases and articles, students will explore how American and European businesses operate in France. Course credit will be granted for Topics in International Business (IB 3000), or Topics in Marketing (MKTG 3000). The program is open to students from any UNC system institution.

The course will be taught by Cindy Fox, lecturer in marketing. Ms. Fox has extensive experience in teaching college-level marketing classes and has worked for several area businesses, including Presbyterian Hospital, Arcon International, and the Dorsey Corporation. She earned a bachelor's degree from Wofford College, Spartanburg, S.C., and an M.B.A. from UNC Charlotte. At UNC Charlotte, Ms. Fox teaches courses in global marketing and retail management. She is on the board of the Charlotte American Marketing Association and the Charlotte World Trade Association, and is the faculty advisor the Student Chapter of the N.C. World Trade Association.
