UNC Charlotte officially opened the academic year August 14 with the University Convocation.
At the ceremony, Belk College faculty members Gary F. Kohut (Management) and Benjamin Russo (Economics) were recognized for 25 years of service to the University.
Richard Buttimer (Finance and Business Law) was recognized for promotion to Professor.
Staff members who joined the University in the past year were welcomed:Kyla Acie and Will Espin (Advising Center) and Gretchen Burleson (M.B.A. Program).
New faculty members include Theresa Hilliard (Accounting); Kexin Zhao (BISOM); Craig Depken (Economics); Keener Hughen (Financeand Business Law); Dustin Read (Finance and Business Law); Delancy Bennett (Marketing); and Peter Davis (Management).
