Belk College to host Concord Coalition "Fiscal Wake-Up Tour" Oct. 27

Harry Zeeve, national field director for the Concord Coalition, will lead an interactive discussionon the Federal budget deficit at UNC Charlotte Tuesday, Oct. 27. The event will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM in Friday Building, Room 17.

The event is part of the Concord Coalition’s “Fiscal Wake-Up Tour,” a series designed to educate the public on the United States’ national debt and encouragedialogue on fiscal issues. Zeeve’s visit to Charlotte is jointly sponsored by the Concord Coalition, the Peter G. Peterson Foundation and the Charlotte Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. The Belk College of Business is hosting the UNC Charlotte program.

During his presentation, Zeeve will show clips from “I.O.U.S.A.,” a film produced by the Concord Coalition which examines the rapidly growing national debt and its consequences for the United States.

Zeeve will repeat his presentation from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at Johnson & Wales University.

The Concord Coalition is a non-partisan political advocacy group founded by former U.S. Senator Warren Rudman, former Secretary of Commerce Peter George Peterson, and the late U.S. Senator Paul Tsongas. The Concord Coalition's advocacy centers on ending deficit spending and promoting a balanced budget in the U.S. federal government.
