UNC Charlotte ranked among top part-time MBA programs by U.S. News
The M.B.A. program at UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business has ranked in the top tier of part-time programs in the country, according to the 2012 edition of Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News Media Group.
UNC Charlotte tied for 59th place among 295 programs in the annual ranking, which is compiled from responses by business school deans and M.B.A. directors. Other universities in UNC Charlotte’s tier include Villanova University, North Carolina State University, University of Denver and University of Illinois–Chicago.
This is the first national ranking on the U.S. News list for the UNC Charlotte M.B.A. program, which enrolls nearly 300 students.
“National ranking for the M.B.A. program is a goal that the Belk College has been working towards for a long time,” said Dean Steven Ott. “This accomplishment is a credit to the hard work of our faculty and staff, and ultimately to the talent of our students. We look forward to continuing to move up the list in the future.”
Beginning in the fall of 2011, the M.B.A. program and several other Belk College graduate programs will move to UNC Charlotte’s new state-of-the-art Center City Building at the corner of 9th and Brevard Streets.
Highlights of the rankings will be published in the Best Graduate Schools 2012 edition book, available April 5. For more information about Best Graduate Schools, visit www.usnews.com/grad. To learn more about the methodology and data research, visit www.usnews.com/gradmeth.
