Ph.D. student earns Best Paper award

Jun Chen, a student in the Ph.D. in Business Administration program in the Belk College of Business, will receive the Outstanding Paper Award at the 2011 Eastern Financial Association annual meetings. His paper, “REIT Performance and Market Timing Ability,” was co-authored with Belk College professors Richard Buttimer and Ethan Chiang.

“This is a significant accomplishment for Jun as well as for his co-authors and faculty mentors,” said Dr. Christie Amato, associate dean for graduate programs. “We are proud of Jun and congratulate him on this impressive achievement.”
