UNC Charlotte economist John Connaughton will present his quarterly forecast for the North Carolina economy at a luncheon and press conference Wednesday, June 1 at the Westin Charlotte (601 S. College St.). Connaughton's presentation begins at noon.
Connaughton, the Babson Capital professor of financial economics in the Belk College of Business, is a highly-regarded expert on regional economics and has closely monitored the N.C. economy for more than 20 years. His quarterly report, sponsored by Babson Capital Management, addresses areas of optimism and concern among the state's economic sectors, considers national and global factors affecting the state economy and forecasts future performance and job growth.
The forecast presentation is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Reservations are requested before May 26 to events. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:45 AM and vouchers provided for complimentary parking at the Westin.
