Dr. John Connaughton, the Babson Capital Professor of Financial Economics in the Belk College of Business, will present his quarterly forecast for the North Carolina economy at a luncheon and press conference Wednesday, Sept. 7, beginning at noon at the Westin Charlotte (601 S. College St.).
Dr. Connaughton is a highly regarded expert on regional economics and has closely monitored the state’s economy for more than 20 years. His quarterly report, sponsored by Babson Capital Management, addresses areas of optimism and concern among North Carolina’s economic sectors, considers national and global factors affecting the state economy and forecasts future performance and job growth.
