Shao to keynote immigration seminar Sept. 11
Dr. Alan Shao, associate dean for professional and global programs, will be a keynote speaker at “Immigration, Collaboration and Its Impact on the U.S. Workforce,” a seminar taking place Sept. 11, 2008.
Dr. Shao will address “Companies and Business Schools: Growth of Global Partnerships” at the seminar, which is sponsored by Alan Gordon Immigration & Naturalization Law and Greer & Walker, LLP.
A second keynote speaker, attorney Alan Gordon, will address “U.S. Immigration Issues in a Global Economy.”
The event will be held at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, 300 S. Tryon Street, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM There is no charge to attend, but reservations are requested. Call Greer & Walker at 704-377-0239 to reserve a place.
Dr. Shao, who joined the UNC Charlotte faculty in 1990,holds the faculty position of professor ofmarketing and international business in addition to his administrative role in the Belk College. As associate dean, he oversees administration of the Charlotte-based M.B.A., M.B.A. in Sports andMaster of Accountancy programs as well as the Belk College’s growing roster of global business programs. These include a joint M.B.A. program in Monterrey, Mexico; M.B.A. programs in Hong Kong and Taipei, Taiwan; a joint graduate economics program in Copenhagen, Denmark; and adual graduate business program in Lyon, France.
