Corey Henderson named SCPD assistant director

The Belk College of Business welcomes Corey Henderson as the new assistant director of the Student Center for Professional Development (SCPD).

Corey is originally from Arkansas and received a B.S. in Health Education from the University of Central Arkansas and a M.S. in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. She also received her National Counselor Certification in May 2010. Corey has worked extensively with the Belk College of Business undergraduate population as the former assistant director and business career advisor in the University Career Center, and most recently, as a temporary career advisor and special projects associate for the Department of Finance.

In her new role, she will work closely with SCPD Director Kristine Hopkins to develop relationships with the business community to enhance experiential learning opportunities (including job shadows, internships and career placement) for undergraduate business students.
