Dean Mazzola appointed to University of Liege advisory commitee
Belk College Dean Joseph Mazzola has been appointed to the International Scientific Committee of the HEC Management School at the University of Liège, Belgium (HEC-ULg).
The International Scientific Committee evaluates and sets the strategic direction for the research conducted by HEC-ULg faculty. Committee members include top academics and business professionals from Sweden, France, Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway and the United States.
HEC-ULg was created as a partnership between the University of Liège, a public university, and HEC (Haute Ecole de Commerce), a private college. The school takes pride in its faculty and long intellectual tradition, as well as its links with the business world. HEC-ULg enrolls 2,500 students and is a member ofAACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Dean Mazzola will travel to Liège this week for the International Scientific Committee’s biennial meeting. During his visit, he will meet with faculty members in the school’s five departments to discuss their research efforts and will participate in activities planned for the school’s symposium for its international partners.
Dean Mazzola is a highly-regarded scholar in the areas of operations management and operations research who has published extensively.
