Mynatt receives Turner Award

Pat Mynatt, lecturer in accounting, has been named the 2010 recipient of the Thomas C. Turner Distinguished Teaching Lectureship by the Department of Accounting.

Dr. Mynatt earned her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently teaches courses in financial and managerial accounting and also serves as the faculty advisor for UNC Charlotte’s Eta Alpha chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. Dr. Mynatt has published in various journals, including The Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, and Critical Perspectives on Accounting. Dr. Mynatt first joined the Belk College faculty in 1989 and rejoined the faculty in 2010.

The Turner Award was established in 1992 to commemorate the retirement of Dr. Thomas C. Turner and to provide funding for outstanding faculty in the Department of Accounting.
