Belk College of Business Dean Jennifer Troyer has been named to the 2021 Executive Committee of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.

Committee members were announced during the 2020 Annual Outlook, which was held virtually on Monday, Dec. 14. As a committee member, Troyer will represent UNC Charlotte, providing organizational direction to the Alliance and help establish board meeting agendas.

“As the region’s leading business school, the Belk College has long standing connections to the business community in Charlotte,” Troyer said. “I look forward to further aligning our University’s efforts as we develop the future workforce in Charlotte and our faculty researchers produce new knowledge that addresses our community’s biggest problems.”

The annual event opened with “FWD Together: Data Driven Region,” a video highlighting goals for the region in 2021. The video, presented by UNC Charlotte, cited research from the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate’s “2020 State of Housing in Charlotte” research report and UNC Charlotte’s Urban Institute.

The Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to the economic development of the Charlotte 15-county region in North and South Carolina.

The Belk College partners with the Alliance on several programs, including Emerging Business Leaders, Power of Women, and economic data research reports.
