Video Series Shows How Green and Gold Drive Business
The Belk College of Business has unveiled a new series of videos in connection with its 50th anniversary celebration.
The series – which supports the anniversary theme “Green and Gold Drive Business” – highlights alumni, students and faculty, and their impact in Charlotte.
“As one of the largest business schools in the Carolinas, the Belk College is a huge economic driver for our region,” said Belk College Dean Jennifer Troyer. “In celebration of our 50th anniversary, we also are excited to introduce just a few of the Business Niners who are making a difference in Charlotte.”
Nearly half of the college’s 33,000 alumni live and work in Charlotte.
The theme-based videos expand on the 50th anniversary creative theme that was first introduced in September. Illustrating the college’s connectivity to Charlotte, the theme’s creative features a custom vector of the city’s skyline. The videos will be featured on the college website, on social media channels and at upcoming vitual events.
Spotlights include:
Kristin Cagney ‘19 MBA, the founder of Summit Seltzery, the first spiked seltzery on the East Coast
Jane Wu ‘07, founder and president of Panorama Holdings, LLC, an award-winning company that specializes in real estate development and investment
Christopher Moxley ‘03, co-founder of the 704 Shop, a Charlotte-based lifestyle brand
Adonis Abdullah, a Belk College senior and co-founder of Hot Route Analytics, a sports analytics company that focuses on helping sports teams capture their data and use it to improve their in-game performance
Additional video spotlights will be released later this spring. The college, which was established in November 1970, is celebrating its 50th anniversary throughout the 2020-21 academic year with a series of virtual events.
