Thomas Sittema, CEO of CNL Financial Group, has joined the advisory board of the Center for Real Estate at UNC Charlotte.
Mr. Sittema, who was named to his current position in January, joined CNL Financial Group in 2009 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was managing director of real estate, gaming and lodging investment banking. He earned an M.B.A. from Indiana University and a B.A. in Business Administration from Dordt College. Mr. Sittema was named one of the "Seven Investment Bankers Every Director Should Know" by Corporate Board Member magazine in 2007.
