Belk College Announces Appointments to Board of Advisors

Five business leaders with decades of experience have been appointed to UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business Board of Advisors.

The new members – who were appointed by Dean Jennifer Troyer – will serve three-year terms. New members are:

Kate Keene, senior vice president, human resources, talent, and diversity, equity and inclusion for Ingersoll Rand. Keene has over 20 years of experience in human resources, including business partnership, strategic design, compensation and benefits, talent management, and mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration. She earned her bachelor’s in marketing and minor in human and industrial psychology from the Pennsylvania State University.

Kimberly Moore-Wright ‘95, chief teammate officer and head of enterprise diversity for Truist Financial. Moore-Wright, a member of the company’s executive leadership team, has more than 25 years of experience in banking, starting at Truist’s predecessor, BB&T. She earned her undergraduate degree in accounting from the Belk College, an MBA from North Carolina State University, and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Clara Muhammad, head of operational and model risk for Brighthouse Financial. Muhammad has more than 15 years of experience in areas operational risk and information technology, including positions at Allstate Insurance, General Electric and Kraft Foods. She received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Purdue University and an MBA from DePaul University.

Cynthia Richards-Donald, owner/managing partner of Premier Wealth Transfer Group. She is a Certified Financial Planner Certificant and Financial Advisor with over 25 years of financial services industry experience. She received bachelor’s degree in economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and an MBA in Banking and Finance from Dowling College.

Meg Ryan, executive director and CFO of consumer and commercial banking at Ally Financial. Ryan was recognized by American Banker on its “Most Powerful in Banking” NEXT list in 2020. She holds a bachelor’s in finance from Miami University (Ohio).

The Belk College Board of Advisors is composed of senior-level business executives and community leaders representing major employers and key partners in the Charlotte region. Board members are appointed by the dean upon recommendation from the chair and vice chair of the board.

The board supports the vision and mission of the Belk College and provides recommendations on educational and community outreach activities.

Chair for 2021-22 board is Joe Paradise, managing partner at KPMG, and vice chair is Elliott Bryant, senior vice president at Allscripts Health.
