AfroBITS

AfroBITS is a welcoming student organization that focuses on black students in the fields of business and information technology. AfroBITS aims to create a supportive and informed community for black students interested in business (finance, business analytics, accounting, etc) and/or tech (MIS, computer science, data analytics, etc).

Alpha Kappa Psi

Alpha Kappa Psi is UNC Charlotte’s only co-ed professional business fraternity. Established in 1968, the Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi is based on the core values of Brotherhood, Knowledge, Integrity, Service and Unity. As a chapter, we participate in a wide variety of activities such as professional speakers, team building events, intramural sports, and leadership training seminars to name a few.

American Marketing Association (AMA)

The UNC Charlotte American Marketing Association student chapter is an affiliated organization of the national American Marketing Association. We welcome all majors into our organization, however, we are primarily for business, communication, and marketing students. Our mission is to serve as a forum to connect like­minded individuals, foster knowledge sharing, provide resources, tools and training, and support marketing practice and thoughtful leadership. We live our mission by providing our members access to our professional development workshops, AMA certifications, speakers, and even panel discussions. We spend time with our community and build relationships with our members through community service and social outings. We also attend the National American Marketing Association’s International Collegiate Conference held in New Orleans annually.

ALPFA’s mission is to empower and develop Latino men and women as leaders of character for the nation by providing essential career readiness skills and resources to transition into future leaders. We are dedicated to offering career resources, and professional development, while fostering a multicultural environment for networking with industry professionals and prospective employers. Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. Our weekly meetings involve a variety of professionals presenting on an assortment of topics.

Charlotte Sales Network

The Charlotte Sales Network is dedicated to equipping its members with the vital skills, knowledge and resources necessary to succeed in sales in both a personal and business context. Through engaging events, networking opportunities and community, we cultivate professional growth, empowering you to thrive in the dynamic landscape of the business world. 

Collegiate DECA

Collegiate DECA is for college students hoping to succeed in business fields. We strive to improve members’ business savvy, communication abilities and global perspective by offering a mix of leadership experiences, networking opportunities and competitive events. Collegiate DECA facilitates hands-on learning, community service, and career preparation — all of which are essential components in developing future well-rounded business leader.

EmpowerHER: Black Women in Business

EmpowerHER was founded with the vision of breaking down barriers and bridging gaps for Black Women interested in business-related professions. We recognize the unique challenges faced by black women in various industries and aim to create a safe and empowering space where members can embrace their identities and excel in their careers.

Entrepreneurship Club

The goal of the Entrepreneurship Club is to empower and encourage students to create businesses, get involved with the community and develop skills needed to succeed as entrepreneurs in a global society. We provide opportunities for networking, learning and professional development experiences related to the field of entrepreneurship.

FORTY-NINER Supply Chain Association

The focus of the FORTY-NINER Supply Chain Association student chapter is to gain a better understanding of supply chain management, with an emphasis on networking, purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics, to promote real world connections and certifications in the supply chain industry while in school at UNC Charlotte.

Future Leaders of Accounting (FLA)

FLA is an organization founded upon the mission to provide students with professional development by introducing each member to the various accounting and finance careers offered in addition to public accounting. This organization will assist undergraduate business students with a strong interest in accounting/finance with the tools necessary to network and prepare for the day-to-day life of individuals within this field.

Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS)

Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) is an international professional development organization with a focus on insurance, risk management and actuarial science. Membership is open to all students enrolled in UNC Charlotte. GIS pursues a mission of promoting and encouraging student interest in a career in the insurance industry while encouraging high moral and scholastic attainments of its members. Insurance is a diverse industry with career opportunities in underwriting, claims, actuarial science, accounting, marketing, sales, HR, loss control, financial planning, data analytics, management information systems and reinsurance.

The UNC Charlotte Chapter provides many professional development opportunities for students including attendance at seminars and conferences, international travel, career fairs and networking with industry professionals through speaker meeting, luncheons and Shadow Days. We also provide group and individual coaching for members with the goal of helping all students complete an internship and receive a career offer in one’s preferred career path prior to graduation.

The Investment Club is a dynamic community of students who share a deep interest in finance and the stock market. Our main goal is to illuminate the world of investing for long term financial prosperity.  In the Investment Club, you’ll dive into exciting discussions on market trends, portfolio strategies and the latest in fundamental and technical analysis. 

NABA, Inc.

The mission of NABA, Inc. is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance profession. NABA welcomes accountants, finance and business related professionals and students who have similar interests and ideals, are committed to professional and academic excellence, possess a sense of professional and civic responsibility and are concerned with enhancing opportunities for minorities in the accounting, finance and business related professions.

Society for Human Resources Management Student Chapter of UNC Charlotte

The UNC Charlotte Chapter is nationally affiliated with SHRM, the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management representing more than 300,000+ individual members. SHRM is a premier HR organization that offers guidance, information and access to an intimate, private network of HR professionals and specialists.
