Dr. John Connaughton, professor of financial economics for the Belk College of Business, will present his quarterly forecast on the North Carolina economy during the North Carolina Economic Forecast. Under the direction of Dr. Connaughton, the Economic Forecast has provided invaluable economic data for North Carolina since 1981. The Economic Forecast, celebrating its 40th anniversary, is presented each quarter.

About the Speaker
Dr. John Connaughton is considered one of the top economists in North Carolina. He joined the UNC Charlotte faculty in 1978. Dr. Connaughton also covers national and international economic issues including employment, energy, trade and government spending. Dr. Connaughton has authored economic impact studies that have received widespread attention. His work is frequently quoted in local and national publications, and his study on the Superconducting Super Collider is cataloged in the United States Library of Congress.
