Purchases can be made at UNC Charlotte's NinerTech.

FAQs

Beginning Fall 2021, all students taking classes in the Belk College of Business are required to have their own personal laptop computer.

Having a working laptop is each student’s responsibility. For assistance, Institutional Technology Services staffs a walk-up service desk in Room 140C of Atkins Library. The IT Service Desk can also be reached online or by phone for assistance with any technical difficulties. Please visit help.charlotte.edu for more information.

In addition, Atkins Library has a laptop lending program. Laptops can be checked out on a first come, first served basis at the Circulation Desk located on the first floor near the main
entrance. The loan period for laptops is 24 hours. For paid technical help, NinerTech is located in the Popp Martin Student Union.

Because the laptop will be required, students will be able to utilize financial aid to make  the purchase. If you are receiving financial aid, you can submit a budget increase  request for the actual cost of the laptop and related equipment. You may only receive one budget increase for a computer purchase during your enrollment.
