What is your favorite thing about living in the Charlotte area?

I love how close everything is. With access to the light-rail (especially with a station on campus), it has allowed me to travel all over Charlotte without the hassle or stress of driving my personal car and worrying about getting lost or having to pay for parking.

What are your career goals for the future?

Personally, I have the goal of graduating early and entering into the MACC program to work towards my CPA.

Why did you choose the Business Honors Program?

Personally, I chose Business Honors for the fact that it is a much more personal program. You feel more connected and have more opportunities for growth when the group is smaller and that is exactly why Business Honors is a cohort-based program. Being able to grow professionally and learn more aspects of the business world but also having a built-in family on campus was a major push for me to choose the Business Honors Program.

What has been your favorite honors course so far and why?

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Practicum classes we take with our Business Honors Program classes. This has really allowed us to learn more about each other and understand the importance of each branch of business. We learn how we are all connected and rely on each other, even if we have different career goals.

What has been the most impactful professional development event that you’ve participated in through Business Honors Program?

Mock interviews have been really eye-opening and a great learning experience. Interviews are one of those things you have to practice at and become comfortable with. The way that the Business Honors Program has created this event and how we are able to get feedback from actual professionals from companies we would want to work with in the future is an incredible development opportunity.
