Tell me a random fact about yourself.
As a freshman, I studied abroad at the London School of Economics.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus was the Friday building, the home of the Belk College of Business. I enjoyed seeing my classmates and professors around the hallways.

Jacob Maniloff is a May 2017 graduate with a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration. He pursued a double major in Operations & Supply Chain Management and Management Information Systems.
Why did you choose your areas of study?  

I selected this combination of majors as I felt it would provide a unique set of skills and knowledge as I entered the workforce.

Why did you choose the Belk College of Business/UNC Charlotte?

I selected the Belk College of Business for its proximity to the Charlotte business community. I saw the University’s connection to the community as a great opportunity to network and gain real world experiences.

What activities were you involved in when not working/studying?

I was a member of the Business Honors Program during my time at UNC Charlotte and served as the program’s President during my senior year. In this role I was responsible for setting up professional development and networking events for our 110 members, while also leading the program’s Executive Board.

What was the best part of your academic experience?

Building relationships with a group of my professors and members of the Belk College of Business was one of the most rewarding aspects to my academic career. Learning from them through course work and conversation was critical as I navigated my undergraduate studies.

How would you describe the Belk College of Business to someone who is thinking about applying?

The Belk College of Business is an excellent option for any student who is serious about obtaining a useful business degree to be applied to the workforce after graduation. The coursework, dedicated professors, networking events, and various student organizations provide ample opportunities for students to learn inside and outside of the classroom and prepare for a successful career after graduation.

What else would you like to share with us?

I was a member of Bank of America’s Applied Technology Program in my final three semesters of undergraduate studies. This 17-month internship was focused on leadership development, networking, and personal growth. Through this opportunity, I accepted a full time post-graduate job in the company’s Global Risk Analyst Program.
