What degree are you pursuing and why?

I’m pursuing an M.S. in Management degree so I can gain the business knowledge I need for running my own business.

Why did you choose the Belk College of Business over others?

I chose this program because it’s only 10 ½ months! I’ll have two degrees within a year of each other and it’s also one of the most affordable master’s programs in the area. I loved my undergraduate experience at UNC Charlotte and was happy to further my education.

Tell us about your job. What lessons have you learned in your courses that you were able to apply on the job?

I currently run my own online business and have learned so much valuable information that helps with my day-to-day management activities regarding my business! I’ve learned everything myself thus far so it’s nice being able to have formal education on how to manage and apply that to my business.

What do you hope to accomplish this year in your role as an Ambassador?

I hope to expand my network while simultaneously influencing others to join the program! This program was a great fit for me and I think it could be a great option for others like me.

What activities are you involved in when not working/studying?

When I’m not working or studying I love to socialize with friends. I enjoy skateboarding, taking photos, trying out restaurants around Charlotte, exercising and being outdoors.

What has been the best part of your academic experience so far?

The best part of my academic experience so far has been being able to network with other students.

How would you describe the Belk College of Business to someone considering a master’s degree program?

I would describe the Belk College of Business as a welcoming, diverse environment that encourages students to pursue their passions while helping them prepare for the real-world job market.
