The close proximity to a multitude of Fortune 500 companies, allowing me to have access to a plethora of professional opportunities.
What are your career goals for the future?
I aspire to work in the Financial Services industry and potentially work for the World Bank.
How has the Business Honors Program helped you progress towards your career goals?
The Business Honors Program has allowed me to interact with many professionals and recruiters in the Financial Services industry. These interactions have helped me understand and form my professional goals. The program has also provided me with access to internship opportunities and professional development events.
Have you completed an internship? If so, tell us about your experience and how the Program prepared you for the opportunity.
I completed an internship as a Finance Intern at a Clinical Research Organization during the summer of 2021. The Business Honors Program had prepared me by providing me with a high degree of exposure to industry professionals, and instilling a strong work ethic in me. I was ready to work on all of my deliverables, and never found myself overwhelmed.
What opportunities has the Business Honors Program provided to you?
The Business Honors Program has provided me with the opportunity to serve as Internal Vice President, which involved me organizing the annual Mock Interviews event. While organizing the event, I was fortunate to have connected with many professionals across a spectrum of industries. My new connections are helping me gain access to internship opportunities and professional development events in the Charlotte area.
