In your opinion, what are the three best things about UNC Charlotte?
- Location: Charlotte is a great city to be in. There are so many businesses and headquarters located here, which is great for internship opportunities. There are also a ton of things to do for fun like go to a Panthers or Hornets game, or just go explore Uptown.
- Amenities: UNC Charlotte has so many resources to help you further your career. I have received multiple internship opportunities from just looking on Hire-A-Niner and applying. UNC Charlotte also has great facilities such as the football field and Popp Martin Student Union.
- The People: Being from New York, I did not know anyone when I first came to UNC Charlotte. Everyone I met was very friendly and I quickly gained a lot of friends.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
The Popp Martin Student Union

What is your favorite Charlotte restaurant?
One of my favorite Charlotte restaurants would have to be Benny Pennello’s, it is a great pizza place and reminds me of N.Y. Pizza.

What is your favorite class that you have taken and why?
My favorite class would have to be Branding and Product Strategy. I thought it was fascinating to learn about how companies and products are branded and strategized.

Tell us three random things about yourself.
I have played the piano since I was 4 years old using the Suzuki approach.
I was a photographer's assistant throughout high school and even photographed events by myself.
I love traveling and want to travel around the world.

Finance
Marketing
Rebecca Bishop studied Finance and Marketing, with specialized concentrations in both majors for a unique business edge. She was a member of the Business Honors Program and on the executive board of the American Marketing Association student organization.
What major did you pursue and why?

I pursued a double major in Finance with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance and Marketing with a concentration in Analytics. I believe being a double major in these fields gives me a unique perspective on the market and gives me a wide range of knowledge that most students don’t get the opportunity to have.
