What is your favorite thing about living in the Charlotte area?

All of the opportunities that BHP and the city itself has given me. I owe my internship with TIAA this summer to my connections through BHP and BSP.

What are your career goals for the future?

I want to work with numbers and analytics, but I'm not sure of the exact field yet. Three areas that interest me are data science, financial analytics, and sports analytics.

Why did you choose UNC Charlotte?

The city of Charlotte is growing and bursting with job opportunities. Once I found out that UNC Charlotte offered a major in Business Analytics, I knew that I would be going to Charlotte. After spending three semesters here, I don't regret my decision at all, and I am continually amazed at what this school is able to offer me.

Why are you interested in business analytics/finance?

I've always loved math, numbers, and logical thinking. Striving for a business analytics major also allows me to pursue coding, which is foreign to me but extremely interesting.

What opportunities has the Business Honors Program provided to you?

The Business Honors Program has given me the opportunity to speak with employers such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Spectrum, and so many more. Business Honors having such a tight connection with these employers has given me countless chances to find an internship and other professional experiences. Through Business Honors I secured my internship with TIAA this summer!

What is your favorite benefit from being an honors student at UNC Charlotte?

The Business Honors Program students around me are extremely talented, driven, and kind and always push me to be a better version of myself. On the other hand, I owe almost all the credit for finding my professional experiences to people I've met through the Business Honors Program.

What advice would you give to prospective students interested in Business Honors Program?

The Business Honors Program will offer you abundant opportunities that other honors programs simply cannot. Being situated so close to the heart of Charlotte and having such close connections to major business has allowed the Business Honors Program to be a source of incredible opportunity. In the Business Honors Program you don't have to find the opportunity, the opportunity finds you.
