Alumni Council Renewal Form

Our most sincere thanks for sharing your time, energy, and resources this year with the  Belk College Alumni Council and for laying the groundwork for Belk College alumni to give back through the programs you oversee.  Current Alumni Council Members are asked to submit a renewal form annually confirming their intent to continue serving on the Belk College Alumni Council or roll off the board.

When alumni are invited to serve on the Belk College Alumni Council, members agree to serve a three-year term.  Council members may also opt to serve a second, consecutive three-year term. A new option this year is to transition to "Emeritus Membership" on the Belk College Alumni Council. This option is explained below.

Submission of the renewal form helps the Nominating Committee review new member applications with a full understanding of the companies, class years, degree programs, etc. currently represented on the Council.

Belk College Alumni Council Emeritus Membership

Emeritus members are alumni who have served on the Belk College Alumni Council and wish to remain engaged with the College after completing their term(s) of service.  Emeritus members will receive the following:

  • invitation to serve on the Belk College Alumni Awards committee (one virtual meeting annually)
  • invitation to attend the Belk College Alumni Awards (fall)
  • biannual Belk College Alumni Events update email
  • option to be added to the Belk College Alumni Council Emeritus Member listserv  (receive occasional invitations to Belk College, business community and/or athletic events)
  • invitation to an annual Emeritus Member luncheon/coffee with Dean Ott
