Emeritus faculty member Thomas C. Turner, who helped establish the accounting department at UNC Charlotte and remained dedicated to the University throughout his life, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the age of 88.
UNC Charlotte’s Steven Rogelberg is a pioneering researcher in the field of organizational science. In acknowledgement of his profound, international impact on the discipline, Germany’s Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has named him a recipient of its prestigious research award.
Alumnus Robert A. Niblock, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Lowe’s Companies Inc., provided a $2.5 million donation to UNC Charlotte to support and name the Niblock Student Center in the Belk College of Business.
